It has been known for decades that some of the particles in tattoo ink are carcinogenic. However, are they that bad? Do these trace amounts of carcinogenic particles cause cancer , specifically Lymphoma a cancer of the lymphatic system?
Its been debated for years if there are cancerous risks in having a tattoo and a recent study in Sweden stated they found a 21% increase in persons with tattoos. However, this study is currently under fire with cancer researchers who do not believe their results are credible and the 21% increase isn't statistically significant, In other words, the results do not prove that tattoo inks cause any type of cancer.
In fact many studies have shown little or no risk at all.
